Has anyone considered or purchased a fireproof and waterproof safe for collateral files instead of having them out of the office at a safe deposit box?
I think it might be nice to have them in my office, and not have the $40/yr expense.
I purchased a fireproof & waterproof safe for my notes after seeing what happens when a fire sprinkler system went off in our apartment building, thankfully not our apartment. Probably worth the cost for note preservation and to have your notes close at hand.
Watch the specs when you look for one. The good ones are rated by temperature and time. For example mine will withstand 1500 degrees for 75 minutes. Where the safe is located, office/apartment/house or urban/rural, may make your requirements different.
